Lizzie is 16 and lives in Yorkshire. She is an enthusiastic music fan, who enjoys various genres, artists and bands, both old and new; she especially enjoys Bastille, George Ezra and Queen.  She mainly listens to music on her phone and/or IPod, and mainly uses iTunes as a means of downloading and experiencing new music.  As well as music Lizzie also enjoys reading, watching television and, again, she enjoys many different types of books, films and TV shows, both old and new, her favourite in two categories being The Hunger Games series.

As a student Lizzie uses music as a way to unwind after college, and prefers it when she can gain access to quality music fast. Also, as a young person in full time education, it is difficult for her to also have a job, so she has little spare money. This also means that free music vouchers and CDs would be appreciated as it would mean less of her money would be spent on buying the newest music. Also deals for concert and festival tickets would be appreciated seeing as they are often quite expensive.

As a music lover, new music, bands and artists are interesting to Lizzie as it broadens her understanding and love of music., so unknown and newly discovered bands would be appreciated if featured in the magazine.

Interviews

from these interviews I found out that my interviewees enjoy a wide range and varied genres of music. This means that I will be sure to include various different music styles, from different genres and eras. I enjoy the idea of including all styles of music for people that enjoy all sorts of music. I also learned that both my interviewees enjoy reading, so articles and interviews would register well with them. They enjoy listening to music in their spare time, which implies to me that they are passionate enough about music and listening to it that that consider it a hobby. My interviewees were very aware of both old and new faces of pop culture, ranging from John Lennon, to Chris Hemsworth, so it is to my understanding that people are aware and appreciative of all key influences on pop culture no matter how old they are or how relative they are to today's modern culture, so I think the inclusion of both modern and older bands and artists would be beneficiary to my magazine. Film is also a very important part of modern day living, and seems important to both my interviewees so it would be wise of me to try and incorporate film into my magazine, whether it be including film soundtracks or articles on music in films, or perhaps interviewing actors on their views on music and what music means to them .
